Okay, in 2008 for Christmas, I got a .22 bolt action hunting rifle as one of my presents. This rifle was (and still is) my first rifle, so you can imagine I would be anxious to shoot it.
Every time I thought about it I would ask "When can I shoot my gun?" and the reponse was "When it's nicer outside.". Now, I understand that some people may not want to go out and shoot a rifle in the snow, but I am not one of those people.
January rolled around and what do you know? There's more snow now than in December. This was truly a disapointment, as I had been waiting two months to fire my very first rifle. Now, I was really determined to get to go shoot my gun.
I have to admit that I could be rather annoying myself, but can you blame me? All I wanted to do is shoot my rifle!
When February came, I was positive that I would finally get a chance to shoot my rifle, but to my disappointment I did not even get to take it out of it's case. By this point, I was just getting really annoying with the begging to go and shoot my gun. The weather wasn't perfect, but I still say it was fine to just go out and shoot a gun, but I didn't even have my drivers permit so I could drive myself to a shooting range.
Now in the months of March and April (spring),it is the pristine time to go hunting for those annoying little vermin, the squirrel. I cleaned my gun because it probably got rusty from just sitting in my damp basement.
When i again asked "When can I shoot my gun, when can I shoot my gun!" the response I was given was "We don't have anywhere to go shoot it." Do you have ANY idea how VERY VERY annoying that is, I waited 3-4 months for nice weather and all this time they didn't even look for a place to go. Now i'm just starting to wonder if I will ever get to shoot my rifle!
We'll see... but if it's not soon, there may be a mutiny!!
